Make the most of your festive leftovers with these easy Boxing Day sliders. They’re simple, satisfying, and ideal for those relaxed post-Christmas moments.

Ingredients

  • 2 x 6-pack dinner rolls (connected if possible)
  • 3 tbsp cranberry jam
  • 200 g sliced ham
  • 200 g cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • Cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary leaves
  • 2 tbsp caramelised onion jam
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped parsley
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (fan-forced) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Slice the rolls horizontally (keeping them connected) to create a top and bottom layer.
  3. Spread cranberry jam across the entire bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Layer on ham, turkey, grated cheddar, and mozzarella slices.
  5. Sprinkle with cracked pepper and rosemary leaves.
  6. Spread caramelised onion jam across the inside of the top half of the rolls, then place it on top to close the sliders.
  7. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with parsley and a pinch of salt. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  8. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes, until the cheese is gooey and everything’s warmed through.
  9. Remove from the oven, pull apart, and serve immediately.
