Help a child in need for our community

SSI Multicultural Foster Care is a specialist out-of-home care service for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds aged 0-18 years. The service operates in parts of metropolitan Sydney and the Hunter-Central Coast area.

Foster carers provide a safe environment for vulnerable children and young people in out-of-home care by making them a part of their own family and home.
There are more than 18,500 children and young people in out-of-home care in NSW. Foster carers play a vital role in helping to provide a stable home and family for many of these children.
Being a foster carer is an opportunity to help a child or young person who has experienced difficult circumstances. This may be through supporting them while they wait to be returned to their parents’ care, or by providing a caring, safe and stable home for them to grow up in. By providing guidance, patience, support, stability and encouragement, foster carers make a real difference to the lives of children and young people in their care.
