Marrickville Metro opens the 2011 Community Chest in conjunction with Inner West Courier.

Marrickville Metro together with the Inner West Courier is aiming to make 2011 a bit easier on the finances for ten charity, sport or community groups by establishing a Community Chest.

This will award a $1000 cash grant to groups that support, promote or help keep the community active. There is a $1000 grant to be awarded each  month from April until December, with two winners being announced in December. That’s a total of $10,000!

To apply for the grant complete the form below.

The monthly community group that is awarded with the $1,000 grant will feature in the final Tuesday edition of the Inner West Courier of the following month.

Congratulations to Stretch a Family Inc – Stanmore, who was the first winner of the Marrickville Metro Community Chest grant.
